Economy Measures , ( possible ways to reduce the cost ! )
i) Bulk purchase of largest size packs of disposable nappies , tinned milk and other products is preferable to purchasing smaller quantities.
ii) Some products (e.g. clothing at Adams , toiletries at Superdrug ,) can be purchased more cheaply than at Mothercare shops.
iii)Heavier items , such as Moses baskets , play pens , prams , etc may be found in good condition in newspaper 2nd hand small ads columns , or shop window private advertisements, or jumble or car boot sales.
iv) Other mums known to you may be able to give some items for free.
v) Relatives may like to make gifts of needed equipment , if they are told.
vi) Some folk enjoy making baby clothing as a relaxation.
